Tattoo Talk with Kylie from the Stylishbipolar

This week on
Name- Kylie Rodriguez

Website- www.thestylishbipolar.com It started out as a personal style blog and then evolved into an online magazine which now covers a wide range of topics -- from fashion and travels to music and food.

So what was your first tattoo and how old where you? My first tattoo was a lifeline design which is the logo of my favourite band, Arctic Monkeys. I was 23 years old when I had it done.

Why did you choose that specific design? Ever since I was around 16 years old, I knew that I wanted my first tattoo to be something related to Arctic Monkeys. I've had the design idea in my head for years before I actually had it tattooed. That's how I knew I was sure about it.

How many tattoos do you have currently? What are they? I have two -- the lifeline/Arctic Monkeys logo and the word MEGALOMANIAC which is written in such a way that it forms the shape of a pyramid with an eye in the middle.

Do you have a favourite piece? if so what one and why? My favourite is the lifeline, simply because it was my first one and thus, the most memorable.

Did you do a lot of research in to your chosen artist/artists? No, I just did a walk-in.

Are you planning on anymore? Yes, and it's going to be the word Rebel on my collarbone.

A silly question as pain is relative but Most painful tattoo? None. I didn't find them painful AT ALL. In fact, the second one I had done made me feel ticklish during the process.

General reaction from friends and family about your tattoos/body mods? Are they happy about you having them? My dad was surprised about the second tattoo but didn't really say much. My friends all supported me every step of the way.

Reactions from members of the public about your tattoos/body mods, Good or Bad? Reactions have generally been positive.

Have you tattoos ever hindered anything you wanted to do, interviews, work, etc? Nope.

Do you get asked did it hurt a lot? What do you tell people? Yes. I tell them 'no'.

Do you find people will touch your tattoo (body mods) without asking? If so how do you deal with it? They ask my permission first, but they do like touching my tattoos. It's fine by me.

Thanks a lot to Mayra for taking part, be sure to go and check out her blog, and if you would like to feature on Tattoo Talk then shoot me an email or a tweet.
