Quick Round up of UFC 185 Hightlights

So it was UFC 185 this weekend, here are my highlights.

Ross the Real Deal Pearson has one hell of a left hook and Sam Stout defiantly knows that! I have loved watching Ross since he was on TUF and its good to see him get a win under his belt and hopefully build his way back up the rankings.

I am a massive fan of Roy Nelson if only for his mullet/beard combo, but that didn't help him against Alistair Overeem and his brutal leg kicks. Have to to give Roy props as he wasn't running away like Overeem but he just couldn't match him in this fight and the judges thought the same.

Johnny Hendrix and Matt Brown was a war and possible one of the best fights on the card.
Hendrix was all over him and by the 3rd round was manhandling brown and keeping the pressure on to the final bell, another judges decision that went the right way in my opinion.

I have never really rated Carla Esparza as a fighter and Joanna Jedrzejczyk made my point when she battered Carla round the Cage in a brutal fashion, Her wresting was no good against Joanna's take down and she couldn't stand and trade as Joanna's stand up and Jab is on point.
Tough fight to watch as it was basically a round and a b it of Carla getting a brutal beating.
I can not wait to see what Joanna dose in the straw weight division in the coming months.

I wish i had put a bet on Dos Anjos as he basically put a 5 round beating on Pettis, through out the fight Pettis got off a few shots but Dos Anjos just ate them and keep coming for Pettis. One thing for sure was these guys are so so quick, especially with the body kicks that were getting thrown in  the fight. By he end of the 3rd round you knew we had a new champion coming unless Pettis could get a one kick KO in, which he didn't and as he was fighting off the submission as the 10 second klaxon went i think he knew we had a new Champion as well.
